Norman Chamber of Commerce Board Nominees Announced

The Nominating Committee of the Norman Chamber of Commerce recently announced the nomination of 15 candidates for the Board of Directors.

The 2008 Board of Directors nominees are Roger Brown, Norman Public Schools; Mike Fowler, Fowler Holding Company; Anil Gollahalli, University of Oklahoma; Brooks Hull, NPS School Board, University of Oklahoma; Sara Kaplan, Native Roots Market; Chilton Marshall, United Way of Norman; Tom McCaleb, SMC Consulting Engineers; Bill Nations, State Representative, J.R. Fulton & Associates; Shawn O’Leary, City of Norman; Lynn Palmerton, Sooner Mall; Mike Pullin, First Fidelity Bank; Vicki Rose, Atmospheric Technology Services; Chuck Thompson, Republic Bank & Trust; Mike Tower, LWBP; and Daryle Voss, Norman Regional Health System.

According to the Chamber’s by-laws, nominations other than the ones recommended by the nominating committee may be made by any Norman Chamber of Commerce member by acquiring the signatures of 10 Chamber members in good standing on a petition with the name of the nominee. The petition must be filed with Chamber Executive Director Anna-Mary Suggs not less than 10 days before the ballots are to be mailed to the members. The date for petitions has passed.

Ballots will be mailed to members February 5. Deadline for ballots to be returned is February 25 at 3:00 p.m. The 10 candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected for a three-year term beginning May 1.
